The Seven Pillars are a process of steps to be used in unison to maximize our intimacy with God, they are steps to maximize our ability to “seek” after Jesus.
We honor God through submission, recognizing His ultimate authority as our heavenly Father, just as earthly children submit to the discipline of their parents (James 4:7; Hebrews 12:9).
Application Tip: Start each day with a short prayer of surrender, telling God you submit to His plans over your own and ask for strength to follow His lead—even when it's uncomfortable.
Obedience to God’s Word
Loving God means doing what He says—obedience is the tangible proof of our love for Him (John 14:15).
Application Tip: When reading the Bible or hearing a sermon, write down one command or instruction and immediately look for a way to apply it that day.
Bible Writing Daily
God commanded kings to hand-copy the Law so they would internalize it, fear Him, stay humble, and lead with righteousness (Deuteronomy 17:18-20).
Application Tip: Choose a short passage each week and copy it by hand in a journal—reflect on how it applies to your character, leadership, or daily choices.
Grateful Notebook
A thankful heart is God's will for us, transforming our outlook and shaping our lives into worship-filled responses to His goodness (1 Thessalonians 5:18; Psalm 100:4; Colossians 3:15-17).
Application Tip: Keep a gratitude journal—every evening write down three things you’re thankful for, big or small, and give God praise for each one.
Scripture Memory
Memorizing God’s Word plants truth in our hearts, strengthens our minds, and equips us to resist sin and stay focused on God’s will (Psalm 119:11; Joshua 1:8; Colossians 3:16; Deuteronomy 11:18-19; Psalm 1:2-3).
Application Tip: Create a weekly memory verse card and post it in places you’ll see often—mirror, fridge, phone lock screen—and review it daily.
Letter to God / Prayer
God invites us to pray constantly, privately and sincerely, bringing our worries and thanks to Him, which brings peace to our hearts (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Matthew 6:6).
Application Tip: Set aside 5–10 minutes each day for quiet prayer and journal your prayers—include praise, confession, gratitude, and requests.
Serving Locally & Internationally
Just like Jesus, we are called to serve, not to be served—through love, humility, and action, we show God’s heart to others (Mark 10:45; Galatians 5:13; John 13:12-15).
Application Tip: Find one small way to serve someone daily—whether it’s a word of encouragement, doing a chore without being asked, or helping someone in need.
God does answer prayer. My hope is that these seven pillars become an answer to your prayers, guiding you toward a deeper, more purposeful relationship with Him.
